The Book Blogger Confessions Tag

Book Blogger Confessions tag

So I've seen this tag on various book blogs, and I think it was originally created by lauralovelockbookreviews.wordpress.com . I love doing tags, so I'm sure I'll do many more in the future, I just thought this one looked like it would be good fun so I thought I'd try it out. Here it goes...

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15812814-crossed 1.Which book most recently did you not finish? Crossed by Ally Condie (The second book in the matched trilogy). I read the first book- matched- quite a while ago, and I enjoyed it. I had heard quite a lot of negative things about Matched, and the trilogy as a whole, but I thought that as I has enjoyed the first book, that I would enjoy the rest too. I only read about 150 pages of the second book though, because not much happened and I just couldn't bring myself to carry on. I own the last book of the series too however, so I think I will probably try and bring myself to finish the trilogy later on.

2.Which book is your guilty pleasure? I'm not sure if I feel entirely guilty about any books, but the thing that came to mind was Cathy Cassidy books. I haven't read them for a while, but I used to be so obsessed, and I read them all multiple times- Cherry Crush and Angel Cake in particular.

3.Which book do you love to hate? There aren't many books that I've read by choice in my own time that I really hate. However there are a couple I've read at school that I very strongly hate. 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck and then the worst of them all , 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding. Words can't even explain how much I hate 'Lord of the Flies'.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18079804-half-bad?from_search=true4.Which book would you throw into the sea? While I'm sure I made it perfectly clear which books I hate enough to throw into the sea, I don't want to just use the same books all the time, so I'll try and think of a different one. I choose 'Half-bad' by Sally green. Don't get me wrong, the story idea was good, and I did enjoy reading it, I just didn't find it a very well written book. It was very jumpy and was written in very short sentences, and I occasional tense change confused me. Also, I have to say, it is the most pathetic love story I've ever read. I'm often a fan of insta-love, but I just didn't even care about the love interest, Annalise, at all.

5.Which book have you read the most? I have so many books to read, that I haven't had much chance to re-read all my favourites, but I haven't re-read the 'Twilight series' by Stephanie Meyer and 'The Hunger Games trilogy' by Suzanne Collins, multiple times.

6.Which book would you hate to receive as a present? Well I wouldn't like the receive a book I already own, because that's always awkward. Also I don't think I'd like a book like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' or something similar, because that would make me feel weird and awkward, and I don't really have any interest in reading it.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/256683.City_of_Bones?from_search=true7.Which book could you not live without? This one was very difficult, as I have a lot of favourite books, but for this I chose my favourite series', both by Cassandra Clare. 'The Mortal Instruments' and 'The Infernal Devices'. I know that that's kind of cheating, because it just asked for one book, but these are the books that properly got me into reading as much as I do, and they are my favourite worlds to live in.

8.Which book made you angriest? I can't really think of a book that's ever made me particularly angry. Even when I didn't enjoy a book or was disappointed, I don't think I was ever angry. 'Romeo and Juliet' did make me slightly angry a certain points, because the characters can be so stupid that I juts wanted to shout at them, but I still very much love the story.

9.Which book made you cry the most? I'm afraid I'm going to have to cheat again, because it's impossible for me to just choose one that made me cry. I'll listen off (in no particular order) so of the books that made me cry most. Clockwork Princess, Mockingjay, The Fault in Our Stars, Allegiant, City of Heavenly Fire, The Lovely Bones, and many more.

10. Which book cover do you hate most? I cant think of anything that really stands out for me right now, but the 'Chronicles of  Ixia' covers aren't particularly exciting, so I'll just go with that.

Thanks for reading guys, peace out book nerds xo
